In fact, it should work OK for a Gen5 G19 Slide Assembly.As the Gen 5 .40 S&W guns have wider heavier slides on a single pin frame, will the Glock 20.5 also have to incorporate a wider & heavier slide in the Gen 5 design? It will fit. A gen 5 slide works on a gen 4 frame just fine and a gen 4 slide works on a gen 5 frame with some minor modifications. As far as I know the Gen 5 slides can only be used with Gen 5 frames there are modification that you can do to adapt them but the gun might not be 100 percent reliable.

Prior to Gen5 the barrel lugs on the 17 and 19 are spaced differently so the frames are not interchangeable.
